Admin Fee Configuration

Overview

Scaleo allows operators to control the admin fee — a value deducted from gross revenue before calculating an affiliate's RevShare commission. The admin fee directly affects payouts: the higher the admin fee, the smaller the NGR base, and therefore the smaller the affiliate's commission.

There are two levels of admin fee configuration:

Level Where Who can configure
Platform-level (default) Brand setup Scaleo Support
Commission Plan-level (override) Commission Plan form Operator (in-platform)

Platform-Level Admin Fee

Scaleo supports a default admin fee configured at the brand level during platform setup. The rate can be set globally, with optional overrides per product (e.g. Casino, Sport, Poker) and per country. This value applies automatically to all affiliates and commission plans on that brand unless overridden at the commission plan level.

To set or update the brand-level admin fee, contact Scaleo Support.

Commission Plan-Level Admin Fee (Custom Admin Fee)

Operators can configure a Custom Admin Fee directly on individual Commission Plans (RevShare type only). This is useful when specific affiliates have a negotiated admin fee rate that differs from the brand default.

Custom Admin Fee is set per commission plan — all affiliates assigned to that plan will have the custom rate applied automatically during RevShare calculation.

Where to find it

Commission Plans → Add / Edit plan → RevShare → Advanced Options → Custom Admin Fee

How to configure

  1. Expand Advanced Options in the Commission Plan form.
  2. Find the Custom Admin Fee toggle and turn it on.
  3. Add one or more product rows:
    • Select the product(s) (e.g. Casino, Sport, Poker).
    • Enter the admin fee percentage for that product.
  4. Optionally, click + Add All Other Products Option to set a fallback rate for any products not explicitly listed.
  5. Save the commission plan.

Rules

  • At least one product row is required when Custom Admin Fee is enabled.
  • The same product cannot appear in more than one row.
  • Fee value must be 0 or greater.
  • Only one "All Other Products" fallback row is allowed per plan.

How the Admin Fee Is Applied

The admin fee is used as part of the NGR formula — it is deducted from gross revenue before the affiliate's RevShare percentage is calculated. The higher the admin fee, the lower the NGR base, and therefore the lower the affiliate's commission.

During RevShare calculation, the platform determines which admin fee to use for each transaction using the following logic:

  1. If the affiliate's Commission Plan has Custom Admin Fee enabled → use the configured value for the matching product.
  2. If the plan has Custom Admin Fee enabled but no matching product row → use the "All Other Products" fallback rate (if configured).
  3. If no match and no fallback → fall back to the brand-level admin fee.
  4. If Custom Admin Fee is not enabled on the plan → use the brand-level admin fee, same as before.

Visibility

The Custom Admin Fee value is not visible to affiliates — it is an internal operator setting and is never displayed in the Affiliate Cabinet.

FAQ

Can multiple commission plans have different Custom Admin Fee rates? Yes. Each commission plan has its own Custom Admin Fee configuration. You can set different rates for different plans depending on the affiliate's commercial agreement.

Does changing the Custom Admin Fee affect past commissions? No. Changes apply to future RevShare calculations only. Historical data is not recalculated.

Can I set different rates per country? Not currently. Custom Admin Fee is configured per product. Per-country granularity may be added in a future release.

Does the Custom Admin Fee apply to all affiliates on the plan? Yes. The rate is applied to every affiliate assigned to that commission plan. To apply a different rate to a specific affiliate, assign them to a separate commission plan with the corresponding Custom Admin Fee configured.
