Offers for Affiliates

Offer is the key element of the platform, an agreement between the parties. It describes all the parameters of the deal, including what is considered a successful result, payout, and what product or service is promoted.

Affiliate can find a list of all available offers on the Offers page of the platform. This list consists of active offers with different types of availability and also gives a quick summary of each offer. This guide will explain how Affiliates can operate with Offers details on the Scaleo platform.

The List of Offers

Here offers are grouped into three tabs: All Offers, Featured and New Offers, where they also are presented in three availability types: public, available by request and private (we’ll stop on that further). Affiliates can also apply filters: by Country, Tag and Goal Type to get a more targeted set of offers.

Besides that, the basic information of each Offer is available right in the table — you don’t have to open the Offer page to see major details. This information includes:

  • offer availability
  • goals
  • targeting
  • number of creatives
  • the number of available Landing Pages
  • CR (Conversion Rate) and EPC (Earnings per Click) metrics. They show the efficiency of the Offer. The Affiliate can see in one table which Offer has better performance.

To see all parameters of the specific offer, click on the offer in the list. The Offer page consists of several sections.

Basic Info

In this section, you can find out whether you are allowed to run the Offer. The Offer status can be: Public, Require Approval or Private. If the status is Public, you can run the offer without additional approval. For a Private offer, you are not allowed to see it in the list and therefore to run it, until the manager assigns this offer to you. When the status is Require Approval, you can send the request to run the Offer.

Once you send the request, the manager can approve or deny it. The status will change to You are allowed to run this Offer or Offer request was rejected.

Also, this section includes the following information:

  • ID — the Offer identification number. Is commonly used to determine the particular offer in various reports and outside the Scaleo platform.
  • Title — the name of the product or service you promote.
  • Offer availability — whether you're allowed to run the specific offer.
  • Tags — keywords that help to search for offers and determine their thematic focus.
  • Traffic types — allowed traffic types, which could be utilized by the Affiliate. They can be banners (graphical ads on target sites), emails (used in email marketing), social media (ads in the social network sites), search (ads on the search results page), incentivized (when the user gets a reward for some activities), non-incentivized (when the user does not get a reward for some activities).
  • Description — a description or any additional useful information about the Offer.
  • Time Zone — the time zone the offer is promoted in.
  • Currency — currency of offer’s payments.

This section includes a visual graph of the offer’s performance for a selected date range. You can select additional metrics and change the date range, also use the Volume / Finances switcher to select between report types. Hover the cursor over any period on the graph to see detailed stats.

14-day Statistics

The section includes the number of clicks, conversions, CR (conversion rate) value and the offer’s payout during the last two weeks, which gives a quick overview of the offer’s latest performance divided by days.

Tracking

This section displays your Tracking Link — the personalized link that is used to promote the offer. You can also notice a Link Builder button — use it to customize your personal tracking link and add extra parameters to it in a few clicks. Once Scaleo generates a tracking link with all needed parameters, copy it and insert it into your traffic source.

Affiliates usually post the tracking link either directly or implement creatives (banners, email, some piece of code) on resources where they promote offers.

When the user clicks on the correctly configured tracking link, Scaleo creates a new session, records to the platform and stores additional information from the Affiliate and then redirects the user to the Advertiser's landing page.

Goals

Here you can find the list of goals (target actions completed by a user on a web page) including their titles, payouts, properties and caps. Hover on elements in the Properties column to see what they mean.

Targeting

As follows, in this section, you can check the offer’s targeting, required by an advertiser to record a valid lead. This could include: geo rules (cities, countries and regions where the Offer is or is not available), as well as device OS, types, brands, and models, connection types, and other rules. You will see the full list of available parameters for the particular offer.

Landing Pages

The section shows all Landing Pages added within the Offer. Default and Preview Landing Pages links are available in all offers, but some offers may have additional URLs, where affiliates can redirect traffic to (use Link Builder to select additional URLs for redirection).

The Preview URL is used to check the target Landing Page at once without initiation of tracking.

Creatives

The section contains the full list of creatives (ads wrapped in HTML code) with their type, tracking link, and HTML code. Affiliates post this code on their resources. Click the Preview button to see the creative itself.

Postbacks

This section displays the list of Affiliate’s postbacks that can be called in the case of conversion within the Offer. Affiliate’s postback is a special link (or code) used to notify affiliate’s network about conversions or conversions statuses changes, performed on the Scaleo platform.

How to See Statistics

To see how the Offer works, you can see the detailed statistics reports. Go to Reports > Statistics > Offer, select the date range and columns, and click Display. In the table, you will see the statistics for all of your promoted offers. Choose the desired breakdown for better performance analysis. In addition, you can filter the results by a specific offer: click Filter by > Offer > select offer > Add Filter.
