Offer Goals

Scaleo allows for the tracking of separate goals within a single offer. This feature is
particularly useful for monitoring multiple user actions, such as registrations,
subscriptions, app installations, email confirmations, and purchases (including in-app
purchases).

Different marketing models can be applied, including CPC, CPA, CPL, CPS, and CPI — all in one place. Additionally, Scaleo offers specialized CPA goals for the iGaming vertical. These goals generate separate, specialized reports for iGaming, and enable the tracking of registrations, and CPA deposits, as well as deposits under the RevShare model — REG, DEP, RevShare.

This guide provides detailed instructions on how to create, edit, and manage goals.

Create and Edit a Goal

To create new goal in the existing offer, go to Offers > select the offer in the list > Goals > Manage > Add Goal.

When creating an offer, it is important to note that the offer can only be activated after adding a goal. The mandatory fields when filling in the default goal are the title, the default revenue, and payout values.

It should be noted that there can only be one default goal, and only the default goal can be set as one of the CPC goal type. Additionally, the default goal has extended capabilities for the payouts and revenue options. Its options allow setting payouts by country and by affiliate tiers. Please note that only one of these options can be configured at a time; it is not possible to configure both simultaneously. The logic of these options dictates that if the conditions, such as the country or an affiliate tier, do not meet the requirements set, the default payout is applied.

It is important to add that the currency of the entire offer is specified in the settings of the default goal. For already generated conversions, the currency cannot be changed.

Either way, the default goal contains the same settings as additional goals:

  • Type — CPA (Cost per Action), CPL (Cost per Lead), CPS (Cost per Sale), CPI (Cost per Install), REG (Registration), DEP (Deposit CPA), RevShare (Deposit RevShare). Please note that REG, DEP and RevShare are new specific goal types for iGmaming, more details here.
  • Default Revenue and Payout.
  • Initial Status: Approved or Pending
  • Multiple Conversions: The Multiple Conversions option allows generating multiple conversions from a single user's click for the same goal. This is useful for subscriptions and recurring sales.
  • Display Payout for Affiliate: You have the option to specify the payout value that will be displayed to your affiliates, especially when specific rules or custom parameters are applied.
  • Goal Alias: An alternative Goal ID. It allows using the same postback for different offers. This is useful for offers that have more than one goal and it’s commonly used for iGaming cases whenever only one Registration postback can be installed on the end of an advertiser, as well as only one Deposit postback. Only lowercase letters and numbers are allowed for Aliases (for example: registration).
  • Trigger Affiliate Postback: If disabled, an affiliate's postback won’t be triggered.
  • Unique Track ID: Requires the advertiser to send a unique value along with the conversion in the Track ID parameter.
  • Caps: This option allows limiting the number of conversions or the budget for a specific period. Select a type (Approved, Approved/Pending, Budget), period (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Total), and enter the limit value. If you select Approved, the system will take only Approved conversions into account to calculate the Cap. For example, if you have the value of 100, and the Approved type set, the Cap will be activated when the limit of 100 approved conversions is reached. At the same time, Pending conversions won't affect the Cap — there can be any amount of them. If the Approved/Pending type is set, the system will take both Approved and Pending conversions to calculate the Cap. Budget is a budget-based Cap. The Cap will be activated once the specified budget is reached.

The main distinguishing feature of additional goals is the ability to set them as hidden goals. The hidden goal will be visible to teammates and advertisers only. It is used for tracking additional goals that affiliates are not paid for.

After all goals have been added and configured, click the "Save" button. The goal will be saved and applied instantly. You can edit goals individually on the offer page by clicking the "Edit" button, or you can do this from the offer list page without having to enter the offer each time to edit its data. Simply hover over the desired payout or revenue and click "Edit".

Manage Goals

In the global settings (Settings -> Goal Types), you have the option to edit existing goal types. Specifically, you can change their title, label color, or even disable unnecessary goal types. This allows for goal customization.

When disabling a goal type, please be careful and ensure that the goal type is not used in any offers. However, before disabling a type, the system will prompt you to transfer all existing conversions to another goal type.
