Commission Plan Qualifications: CPA, RevShare, and Hybrid
Qualifications define the conditions a player must meet before Scaleo pays a commission. This article explains how qualifications work for CPA and RevShare plans, what each qualification checks for, and how CPA and RevShare behave when combined in a Hybrid plan.
CPA Qualifications
How It Works
Scaleo checks CPA qualifications automatically, once an hour, for active players who have made a first deposit (FTD) and have not already qualified on the plan.

Before qualifications are checked, the Commission Plan must meet the following conditions:
- The plan must be Active or Paused.
- CPA must be enabled on the plan.
- The plan must still be assigned to the affiliate.
- The player's country must be allowed.
All qualifications configured on the plan must be met at the same time for the commission to be created. There is no option to qualify when only some of the conditions are met.
Once a player qualifies for CPA on a plan, Scaleo does not check that player for CPA qualification again on the same plan.
What Each Qualification Checks
|
Qualification |
What it checks |
Example |
| Minimum FTD Amount | The amount of the player's first deposit. Deposits made after the FTD are not included. | Set to $20: a player whose first deposit is $15 does not qualify based on their first deposit, regardless of later deposits. A first deposit of $25 qualifies right away. |
| Minimum Deposits | The total number of deposits made by the player, including the FTD. | Set to 3: the FTD counts as deposit #1, so the player qualifies when the third deposit overall is made, regardless of the deposit amounts. |
| Minimum Deposits Amount | The combined amount of all deposits made by the player, including the FTD. | Set to $50: an FTD of $10, followed by deposits of $30 and $40, brings the total to $80. The player qualifies after the third deposit. |
| Minimum Bets | The total number of bets placed by the player. | Set to 5: the player qualifies when the fifth bet is placed. |
| Minimum Bets Amount | The combined amount of all bets placed by the player. | Set to $100: bets of $30, $40, and $50 bring the total to $120, so the player qualifies after the third bet. |
|
Minimum Bets Amount (per product) Contact our Support team for setup |
The combined value of the player's bets on one specific product only. | Set to $100 for Sportsbook. If a player bets $150 on Casino but only $40 on Sportsbook, they do not meet the qualification because Casino activity does not count. Once their Sportsbook bets reach $100 , they qualify. |
|
Minimum Bets (per product) Contact our Support team for setup |
The number of bets the player has placed on one specific product only. | Set to 5 for Casino. If a player has placed 10 bets on Sportsbook and 3 bets on Casino, they do not meet the qualification yet. They need 2 more Casino bets to reach the required amount. |
| Minimum Days since Registration | The minimum amount of time that must pass since the player registered. | Set to 7 days: a player who registered on 1 August cannot qualify before 8 August, even if all other conditions are met. |
| Maximum Days since Registration | The maximum amount of time the player has to meet all other qualifications after registration. | Set to 30 days: a player who registered on 1 August has until 31 August to qualify. If the remaining conditions are not met by then, the player can no longer qualify on this plan. |
| Minimum Days since FTD | The minimum amount of time that must pass since the player's first deposit. | Set to 3 days: with an FTD on 1 August, the player cannot qualify before 4 August. |
| Maximum Days since FTD | The maximum amount of time for the player has to meet all other qualifications after the FTD. | Set to 14 days: with an FTD on 1 August, the player must meet the remaining conditions by 15 August or they can no longer qualify. |
| Player Status | Whether the player's current status matches one of the allowed statuses. Multiple statuses can be entered as a comma-separated list. | Set to active, verified: a pending player does not qualify. Once the status becomes active, the player can qualify on the next check. |
💡 A Maximum Days qualification can close the qualification window before the other conditions are met. A player who meets all other conditions after the configured maximum period cannot qualify on that plan.
After Qualification
Once all qualifications are met during the same check, Scaleo creates the CPA conversion, applies any Hold Period configured on the plan, and sets the player's Qualified Date.
The commission amount depends on the plan's Commission Type, such as Flat or Progressive using Range Bands. For more information, see the Commission Plans guide.
RevShare Qualifications
How It Works
RevShare works differently from CPA: instead of qualifying a player once, commission is calculated on a recurring cycle (hourly or daily, depending on how your platform is set up). The applicable conditions are evaluated during each cycle. If a player does not meet them, no RevShare commission is created for that cycle, but they can qualify in a subsequent cycle.

Monthly qualifications are measured over the current calendar month.
Before qualifications are checked, the Commission Plan must meet the following conditions:
- The plan must be Active or Paused.
- RevShare must be enabled on the plan.
- The player's country must be allowed.
All qualifications configured on the plan must be met at the same time during the same cycle for a commission to be created for that cycle.
What Each Qualification Checks
|
Qualification |
What it checks |
Example |
| Minimum Monthly Deposits | The number of deposits made by the player during the current month. The FTD is included if it occurred during that month. | Set to 3: a player whose FTD and one additional deposit occur in August has only 2 deposits for the month and does not qualify for August. If the player makes 3 new deposits in September, September qualifies because the August FTD does not carry over. |
| Minimum Monthly Deposits Amount | The combined amount of the player's deposits during the current month. The FTD amount is included if the FTD occurred during that month. | Set to $50: an FTD of $10 followed by deposits of $30 and $40 in August brings the monthly total to $80, which qualifies. If the player makes no deposits in September, they do not qualify for September. |
| Minimum Monthly Bets | The number of bets placed by the player during the current month. | Set to 10: 8 bets do not meet the qualification; 10 or more bets qualify. |
| Minimum Monthly Bets Amount | The combined amount of the player's bets during the current month. | Set to $200: a total of $150 in bets does not meet the qualification; $250 qualifies. |
| Minimum Monthly Net Deposit Amount | The player's deposits minus withdrawals during the current month. | Set to $30: deposits of $80 and withdrawals of $60 result in a net deposit of $20, which does not qualify. Deposits of $80 and withdrawals of $20 result in $60, which qualifies. |
| Minimum / Maximum Days since Registration | The minimum or maximum number of days since registration, checked again during every cycle. | Set Maximum Days since Registration to 90: cycles within 90 days of registration can qualify. After that, the player can no longer generate RevShare on this plan. |
| Minimum / Maximum Days since FTD | The minimum or maximum number of days since the player's first deposit, checked again during every cycle. | Set Minimum Days since FTD to 3: a cycle running the day after the FTD does not qualify; a cycle four days after the FTD does. |
| Player Status | Whether the player's current status matches the allowed status. | Set to active: an active player qualifies for August's RevShare. If the player is suspended in September, that month does not qualify. If the player becomes active again in October, RevShare resumes. |
💡 A RevShare payout can be negative if a player wins back more than they lost during a given cycle. This is expected and affects that cycle's figure only.
After Qualification
When all qualifications for a cycle are met, Scaleo creates a RevShare conversion for that cycle.
The conversion is calculated from the period's GGR, NGR, or Revenue, depending on the plan's Based On setting, multiplied by the plan's commission rate.
The exact rate depends on the plan's Commission Type, such as Flat or Progressive using Range Bands. For more information, see the Commission Plans guide.
CPA + RevShare in One Plan (Hybrid)
How It Works
A Hybrid Commission Plan combines a CPA component and a RevShare component in one plan and on one offer.
The two components qualify independently:
- CPA checks qualifications once. Once the player qualifies, CPA does not check the qualifications again on that plan.
- RevShare checks qualifications again during every cycle.
- A player can qualify for CPA but not RevShare, qualify for both, or qualify for RevShare during some months and not others.

Scenarios
|
Scenario |
What happens |
Result |
| 1. Both parts qualify the same month | The player registers on 1 May with an FTD of $25. During the rest of May, they deposit $55 more ($80 total) and place bets totaling $150. | CPA checks the $25 FTD (≥ $20) and pays $15 right away. RevShare separately checks May: deposits of $80 (≥ $50) and bets of $150 (≥ $100) both pass, so a May RevShare conversion is created as well — for example, NGR $60 × 25% = $15. Two separate payouts are created from one plan: one one-time CPA payout and one recurring RevShare payout. |
| 2. CPA qualifies, RevShare doesn't — yet | The same player has an FTD of $25, but makes no further deposits or bets in May. | CPA pays $15 in May because it checks the FTD. RevShare does not qualify because May's total deposits ($25) are below the $50 minimum. In June, the player deposits $70 more and bets $150, so RevShare qualifies for June. CPA does not pay again. |
| 3. RevShare pays repeatedly, CPA never does | The player's FTD is $10, below the CPA minimum of $20. Every month after that, they deposit $60 and bet $120. | CPA's Minimum FTD Amount checks only the first deposit, so the $10 FTD permanently prevents CPA qualification on this plan. RevShare uses monthly deposits and bets instead: $60 ≥ $50 and $120 ≥ $100, so RevShare qualifies every month. |
| 4. CPA already paid, RevShare goes negative | CPA pays $15 in May, as in Scenario 1. In June, the player deposits $80 and bets $150, meeting both RevShare qualifications, but wins big and Monthly NGR is -$40. | The May CPA payout is not affected because it has already been created and CPA is not checked again. June's RevShare conversion is still created because both RevShare qualifications passed, with a value of -$40 × 25% = -$10. A negative month is expected and is not an error. |
| 5. A qualification on one part doesn't affect the other | In June, the player deposits $200 but places only $40 in bets, below the RevShare minimum of $100. CPA already paid in May based only on the FTD. | RevShare does not qualify for June because the bets qualification is not met, regardless of the deposit amount. CPA is unaffected because it has no bets-based qualification and has already paid in May. |
💡 A qualification configured for one component of a Hybrid plan does not affect the other component. If both components should expire on the same timeline, configure the same qualification for both.
