Affiliate Page Overview

 Affiliates are one of the core elements of an advertising campaign. In Scaleo you can add and manage any number of affiliates. This guide explains how to manage affiliates in Scaleo.

List of Affiliates

To see the full list of Affiliates, go to the Affiliates section after you log in to the platform.
The page includes five tabs:

  • All Affiliates — this tab contains a list of all partners on the platform;
  • My Affiliates — affiliates assigned to the specific manager (you);
  • Pending Affiliates — the Affiliates that must be approved first;
  • Postbacks - this tab contains a list of all affiliate postbacks, as well as allows creating new affiliate postbacks and editing existing ones;
  • Promo Codes - this tab contains a list of all affiliate promo codes, as well as allows creating new affiliate promo codes and editing existing ones.

In addition, each tab has its own set of filters, and the tabs with affiliates allow applying bulk actions to selected records.

List of available filters under tabs:

  • All Affiliates: Search bar, Status, Tiers, Country, Tag, Teammates
  • My Affiliates: Search bar, Status, Tiers, Country, Tag
  • Pending Affiliates: Search bar, Tiers, Country, Tag, Teammates
  • Postbacks: Status, Level, Affiliate, Offer

The available bulk actions under the Affiliates' tabs are: Change Status, Offer Availability, Change Teammate, Delete.

Additionally, it should be mentioned that on the affiliate list page, in the upper left corner, there is an icon that appears in case of suspected multi-accounting. The system checks if the same IP was used by users during authorization, the same postback was set, or the same payment method was specified. This information is for informational purposes only.

Affiliate Details

To check the Affiliate details, in the list of Affiliates, open the Affiliate page. All the information is organized into several sections.

  • Basic Info — This section displays the Affiliate's details, such as the company name, email, contacts, and financial information, as well as tags, tier, traffic types, managers, and the last login date.

  • Billing Preferences — Basic information about billing details that are used for invoice generation.

  • Settings — Personal settings that control access to the API, personal referral commission percentage, and access to Gaming KPI in the Reports.

  • Trends — This section consists of several tabs containing statistical data of the affiliate, namely: clicks, conversions, revenue, payout for the period, and the affiliate's top offers. There is a separate billing tab displaying affiliate's balances available for payment, pending balance, and balance due.

  • Payment Methods — Here you can generate an affiliate's invoice for a specific payment method, add a new one for a new currency, or change the method for an already added currency. Only one payment method per currency can be added.

  • Buttons for quick actions — shortcuts to the main Reports sections. There are 3 Quick Links available: Statistics/Reports, Conversions, and Clicks.

  • Billing button — A button that switches the partner's profile between general information and billing only. It contains information on balances, payment methods, and a list of all the affiliate's generated invoices.

  • Link Builder button — Unlike the tool in the offer, it allows generating tracking links for the partner in a CSV or XLSX file for all available offers of an affiliate in bulk.

Scaleo gives Managers and Administrators of the platform the option to log in to the Affiliate page by clicking on the Login as Affiliate button.

  • Activity Log — This section displays all the Affiliate’s activity.

Postbacks

Affiliate postbacks are used to track conversions outside the Scaleo system.The postbacks can be fired to an Affiliate system whenever an event occurs (a conversion gets recoded, a conversion status gets changed, etc). To manage Affiliate Postbacks, go to Affiliates > Postbacks. The full list of available postbacks is available there. If necessary, you can filter them by status, affiliate, offer, and level. To edit a postback, select it in the list and click on the Edit button. To add a new postback, click "Add Postback".

When adding a postback in this menu, the following options are displayed for configuration:

  • Select Status: Active/Inactive. Select the Active status to make the postback available immediately or pick Inactive to disable the postback.
  • Select Level. Scaleo supports four types of Affiliate Postbacks:
    Global (Affiliate) — the postback will be executed for all Offers run by the Affiliate. It will work with all Goals except the CPC (cost-per-click) type as there are no conversions generated for CPC Goals in Scaleo.
    Specific — the postback will be executed for the selected Offer only. If the Goal is not specified, the postback will be executed for all Goals in that Offer.
    Global (Offer) - the postback will be executed for all the Affiliates for the selected Offer and Goal type.
    All Affiliates and All Offers - the postback will be executed for all Offers run by all Affiliates. This is convenient when it's needed to add a single postback for all Offers and all Affiliates on the platform. It's also worth noting that this postback will not be visible to Affiliates in their postback settings on the platform.
  • Select Conversion Status: All/Approved/Pending/Rejected/Trash. Postback will be executed only for the conversions with the selected status.
  • Select Method: Postback (Cookieless)/HTML Pixel (Cookie-Based). Please learn more about them in the Attribution Methods guide.

Please note that on the Affiliate profile page, there is also a postbacks section where you can add and edit postbacks. However, you can only add postbacks of two types there: Global (Affiliate) and Specific.

Promo Codes

Simply create a Promo Code for an affiliate to advertise to their audience. Since this method does not require a Tracking Link, the conversion is automatically attributed to the offer and the Affiliate using that particular Promo Code.

In this section, you can create promo codes for specific Offers directly within the affiliate's profile. Everything is in one place for your convenience.

Referrals

This section displays brief information about the affiliate's referrals, including their name, status, registration date, and commission amount for the last 30 days. Additionally, the partner's referral link is shown. This section is active only if the referral program is globally enabled.

More Details about the Referral Program.

Tracking Domains

Every Affiliate can add their domain(s) to track the conversions. To manage Affiliate Tracking Domains, go to Affiliates > select the Affiliate in the list > Tracking Domains > Manage. On this page, you can filter them by status and change some of their parameters. To edit the tracking domain, select the one in the list and click the Edit button.

To add a new Tracking Domain, click Add Domain.

Next, select the status (Active/Inactive) and enter the tracking domain link.

Make sure you click Add to apply changes. After you have added the affiliate's domain, please notify our Support team to finalize the settings.

Commission Plans

This section displays the commission plans assigned to the Affiliate. The Commission Plans can be assigned and unassigned here. This section is available only for the Brand business model of the platform.
